Descending Darkness

Slipping into Darkness

Dimming darkness

Welcomes coolness

Fading light falters

Somber silence

Unlighted pathways

Comfortable shadows

Shortened strides

Cautious thoughts

Dawn distanced

Sunless spirit

Dayspring  remote

Seeking warmth

Stillness stagnating

Purpose elusory

Choked inspiration

Value suspect

Sometimes I find I can only write my best stuff when the darkness is decending. Thinking of you.

Beautifully dark with a tight and nice style. Love this one so much.

Wee bro, your postings have never failed to offer value--grand or subtle, but never failing.

Eric,
Weeee!!!! Welcome back. Been missing you too long. Glad to hear from you again.

Your poem is disturbingly beautiful. I hope that it's not a reflection of what's actually happening in your life?

If it is, then I hope you'll soon find your way into the lit pathways, leaving all the shadows behind as the warmth of spring meets your sunless spirit, bringing you inspiration once again.

Love and hugs,
Tasha
